Josh Adams Earns Third ACC Rookie of the Week Award

Wake Forest redshirt freshman running back Josh Adams has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference's Rookie of the Week for the third time this season. It also marks the second consecutive week that Adams has earned the honor.

A 6-0, 180-pound redshirt freshman from Cary, NC (Cary), Adams rushed for 131 yards on 27 carries and one touchdown in Wake Forest's 44-24 win over Navy on Oct. 20. Adams has now posted back-to-back 100 yard rushing days after gaining 140 yards vs. Florida State on Oct. 11. Adams also broke the Wake Forest record for the most rushing yards in a season by a redshirt freshman with 495 yards this year. The previous mark was 490 by Morgan Kane in 1996. Adams is averaging 5.1 yards per carry this season and is fifth in the aCC with an average of 82.5 yards per game.
