Wake Faces First Road Challenge at JMU

HARRISONGBURG, Va. - The Wake Forest women's basketball team will have its first road contest of the 2007-08 season against James Madison at the JMU Convention Center on Sunday at 2 p.m.
The Demon Deacons (2-0) had a successful opening campaign, notching wins over Charlotte and USC Upstate in Winston-Salem.
On Thursday, in Wake's 56-52 win over the 49ers, sophomore guard Alex Tchangoue lead the Demon Deacons with 16 points and 10 rebounds, marking her first double-double since Wake Forest faced Clemson in January 2007.
Wake Forest leads the all-time series with JMU 4-3, but when the teams met last season the Dukes took a 57-47 win at the Joel.
James Madison is 3-0 for the year, opening the season with an 89-73 win over Harvard in Harrisonburg. The Dukes followed up with a 75-53 win over Bucknell, marking JMU head coach Kenny Brooks' 100 career win. On Friday, the Dukes opened the road schedule with a 74-61 victory over UM-Baltimore County in Baltimore.
Sunday's contest will be the Deacons' last game before opening the Paradise Jam with Indiana in the Virgin Islands on Wednesday.
