LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - The No. 11 Wake Forest women's soccer team will open play at the ACC Tournament with Duke on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
Wake's 2-0 win over No. 25 Miami on Sunday afternoon pushed the Demon Deacons ahead of Florida State in ACC standings, giving the team a No. 2 seed for the first time since the 2000 season.
Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Florida is hosting the event which features the top eight conference teams.
The Blue Devils finished with a regular season mark of 8-4-6, 3-3-4. Elizabeth Redmond leads the team with 6 goals, while primary goalkeeper Allison Lipsher has 73 saves and five shutouts.
The Deacons are 11-5-3 with a 6-2-2 conference finish. The squad ended the regular season with a four-match conference win-streak, including an upset over then-10th-ranked Florida State.
