Frazier, Thomson earn Academic All-District Honors

Wake Forest seniors Louis Frazier and Jeremy Thompson have been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 3 football team.
Frazier and Thompson were among the 24 players on the District 3 team that includes schools in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Virginia.
By being named to the All-District team, both Frazier and Thompson are now eligible for Academic All-America honors.
Thompson, a starting defensive end from Charlotte, NC (Charlotte Christian), is a health and exercise science major with a 3.22 grade point average. Thompson has 31 tackles on the season and leads the Deacons with 6.5 sacks. He is a two-time member of the ACC Honor Roll and is a Dean's List student at Wake Forest.
Frazier, a senior from Clearwater, FL (Clearwater) is a biology major with a 3.76 grade point average. He is Wake Forest's starter at left tackle and has graded out at 88.3 percent on the season with 27 knockdown blocks. Frazier is a two-time selection to the Academic All-ACC team was an Academic All-District 3 honoree in 2006. He is a member of the Dean's List and Omicron Delta Kappa, the national leadership honor society. Frazier has been accepted to Wake Forest University Medical School for next year.
To be nominated for the Academic All-America team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore starter or significant reserve on their team with a 3.20 cumulative grade point average. Members of the first team go on to represent District 3 on the Academic All-America ballot. The CoSIDA Academic All-District Team is a part of the CoSIDA Academic All-America program.
