Wake Forest Sixth in Director's Cup Standings

Wake Forest University is in sixth place following the fall semester in the U.S. Sports Academy Directors' Cup standings.

Cal-Berkeley is in first place with 325 points. Stanford is second with 315 points followed by Oregon (254) and Penn State (254), Southern California (253) and Wake Forest (233). Wake is the highest-ranked team from the Atlantic Coast Conference. Florida State is eighth with 209 points.

The Deacons earned 100 points for winning the NCAA Championship in men's soccer. The field hockey team, which reached the final four, garnered 83 points and the women's soccer team, which advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, contributed 50 points.

Football points have not yet been added to the standings.

Last year, the Deacons finished 23rd in the final Directors' Cup standings, their best finish ever.
