WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -
The Wake Forest women's basketball is set to host the Wright State Raiders on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. at the Joel Coliseum.
The Demon Deacons' (7-1) current five-match win-streak is second in the Atlantic Coast Conference, falling just below NC State's six consecutive victories. The Wake streak started at the Paradise Jam on November 22 with Indiana (55-53), followed by No. 10 Texas A&M (53-46), Wichita State (54-47), Northwestern (60-45) and Rice (79-45).
Wake Forest's 79-46 victory over Rice on Sunday was the team's widest margin of victory since its 100-51 win over Savannah State on February 21, 2005 in Winston-Salem.
Wright State (2-5) posted wins in its last two games, defeating Canisius 57-40 in Dayton, Ohio last Saturday and North Dakota State 87-80 at the Cal Poly Holiday Beach Classic on November 25.
The Raiders have already faced two other ACC opponents in the 2007 season. On November 9, the team dropped its season opener to Boston College in Chestnut Hill 68-36 and also suffered a 63-54 loss at Miami on November 21.
