WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -
Wake Forest head coach Tony da Luz has announced the signing of four players for the 2007 women's soccer season. The Deacons, who lose Jayme Leigh Cargnoni, Kaitlyn Doe, Keisha Garrick, Lindsey Jaco, Kristen Kemp and Elizabeth Remy to graduation, replace that talented group with the addition of two incoming midfielders, one goalie and one defender. Two members of the class are ranked in the top 150 incoming freshman by Soccer Buzz Magazine.
"This recruiting class is a group of highly versatile `natural soccer players,'" da Luz commented. "They are all quick, athletic and technical. All have the ability to adapt to different positions and systems of play. We have a tradition of recruiting smart technical players here at Wake Forest and this group perpetuates that tradition."
