Wake and UNC-G Tie in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Saturday night's battle of the Triad teams ended in a draw as the Wake Forest women's soccer team tied the University of North Carolina Greensboro 1-1 in Greensboro.
The draw was both of the team's first tie of the season, setting Wake at 3-3-1 and UNC-G at 3-2-1.
WFU sophomore Jill Hutchinson, who led the team with six shots for the night, registered Wake's only goal in the 30th minute from a corner kick by Amanda Lebo followed by a touch from Kaley Fountain.
UNC-G's Kelly Attayek followed in the 35th minute with the tying goal of the night, from an assist by Lauren Lopez.
The Deacs had another whopping team-to-team shooting ratio, posting 25 shots to the Spartan's eight. Saturday night's match marks the fourth time through seven contests the Deacs have out-shot the opponent by 10 or more.
WFU goalkeeper Amanda Barasha posted three saves for the night, her second highest mark of the season.
The Deacons will return to Spry Stadium to next Friday to face Brown and defend their unbeaten record at home. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
