WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's basketball team will host Presbyterian for the first time in school history at 11 a.m. on December 15.
The Blue Hose (2-5) is in its second season in Division I. Kaitlin Moore leads the squad in scoring with 12.9 points per game and Lea Smith is the leading rebounder with 5.6 boards per game.
The game will be Wake Forest's (7-0) first game since breaking for exams. In their last outing the Demon Deacons topped Coppin State 74-53. Seniors Alex Tchangoue and Corinne Groves each added their 900th career points during the contest.
As of Friday afternoon, Wake Forest is one of only three schools in the nation where the women's basketball program and the men's basketball program remain undefeated this season. North Carolina and Connecticut also boast spotless records for both squads.
On December 19 Wake Forest will begin play in the University of Central Florida Tournament. The Deacons will play UCF on Friday and follow up with Mississippi on Sunday.
