Curry, Smith Earn Multiple All-America honors

Tuesday was a good day for both Aaron Curry and Alphonso Smith of Wake Forest. Each earned mention on multiple All-America teams.

Smith, a senior corner back, was named first team All-America by the Associated Press and Phil Steele and a second team All-America by The Sporting News and Rivals.com.

Curry was named second team All-America by the Associated Press, Phil Steele, The Sporting News and Rivals.Com.

This fall, Smith has earned first team All-America honors on five teams: Walter Camp, American Football Coaches Association, Football Writers Association, Associated Press and Phil Steele. He was also a finalist for the Bronko Nagurski Award given to the nation's best defensive player.

In addition to yesterday's All-America teams, Curry has won the Butkus Award as the nation's best linebacker and was a finalist for the Lott Trophy.
