ORLANDO, Fla. - The Wake Forest women's basketball team will open play in the University of Central Florida Tournament on Friday night, facing UCF at the UCF Arena at 7 p.m. On Sunday, December 21, the Demon Deacons will continue action in Florida with Southeastern Conference rival Mississippi at 3 p.m.

The Demon Deacons head into Friday's game with a prefect 8-0 record. The UCF Knights are 2-7 and will play Miami on Thursday evening before facing the Deacons. Knight forward Emma Cannon is the team's leading rebounder and scorer, averaging a double-double with 13.2 points and just over 10 rebounds per game.

After opening the season 7-0, the Ole Miss Rebels are 7-3 as they head into play with UCF on Saturday. On December 17, Mississippi dropped a 64-61 overtime decision to Arkansas-Little Rock just after suffering a narrow 46-42 loss to NC State on December 14.

The games this weekend will serve as a homecoming for Deacons Brittany Waters and Brooke Thomas, who both graduated from Edgewater High School in Orlando.
