ORLANDO, Fla. - After a thrilling overtime victory over the University of Central Florida on Friday night, the Wake Forest women's basketball team will continue action in Orlando with Mississippi on Sunday at the UCF Arena.

Mississippi (7-3) will play the UCF Knights on Saturday night before the 3 p.m. game on Sunday.

The Ole Miss Rebels started the season 7-0, but began a three-game losing streak on December 7 when they fell 74-50 to then No. 6/9 Texas. Mississippi then dropped a 46-42 road contest to NC State and a home overtime game with Arkansas - Little Rock.

Preseason All-SEC candidate Shawn Goff missed the first three games of the UM season but still has the second highest point tally for the Rebels. She averages a team-high 14.9 points and 7.4 rebounds.

The Demon Deacons (9-0) played their first overtime game since January 2007 on Friday when a 3-point basket from UCF's Angelica Mealing tied Wake's game against UCF with 17 seconds left in regulation. The Deacons then out-scored the Knights 13-6 in overtime, netting eight of their 13 points from the free throw line.

The longest winning streak in Wake Forest history is 10 games, set in the 1987-88 season. That year the Deacons made their only NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.

Wake Forest will return to the Joel Coliseum in Winston-Salem on Sunday, December 28 to host East Tennessee at 2 p.m. The game will serve as a canned food drive for Second Harvest Food Bank. Fans who bring in two or more cans will receive free admission to the game.
