
Secily Ray is ACC Freshman of the Week

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest freshman guard Secily Ray was tabbed ACC Freshman of the Week for her standout efforts in last week's three games, including her three block performance against the University of Central Florida in the UCF Holiday Classic.
Ray posted a career-high three blocks against host UCF in opening game of UCF Holiday Classic in addition to registering a career-high 15 points in Wake Forest's 82-75 victory. The Thomasville, N.C. native also put up 13 points in the Holiday Classic finale, helping the Deacons top Mississippi 77-58 to take the tourney crown.
With the victory over Ole Miss, Wake Forest improved its season record to 10-0, tying the program record for longest winning streak which was previously set in the 1987-88 season.
The Deacons will return to Joel Coliseum on Dec. 28 to host East Tennessee State at 2 p.m. Admission to the game is free with two canned goods. On Jan. 1 Wake Forest will continue home action with UNC Wilmington at 1 p.m.
