- Wake Forest improves to 4-2 on the year and 2-1 in the ACC.

Riley Skinner Continues to Set Records
- Senior QB Riley Skinner completed 24 of 33 passes for 360 yards and four touchdowns. Skinner set a career-high for TD passes and fell one yard shy of his career-best for passing yardage.
- Skinner broke the school record for career passing yards. He broke the record on a 33-yard pass to Chris Givens in the second quarter. Skinner now has 8,296 career passing yards, which eclipses the previous record of 8,017 yards by Brian Kuklick (1994-98).
- Skinner's four touchdown passes ties the school record for TD passes in a single game and ties the Wake Forest BB&T Field record. The last Deacon to throw four TD passes at BB&T Field was Phil Barnhill vs. Tulsa on Nov. 11, 1989.
- Skinner posted his 20th career 200-yard passing game and his third career 300-yard passing game.
- Skinner has thrown a TD pass in a career-long seven straight games, dating back to last season.
- Skinner now ranks 12th in ACC history in career passing yards and 13th in career total offense.
- The Deacons are now 21-3 when Skinner does not throw an interception.
- Tonight marked the first time in the past four games that Skinner has not thrown for a career-high in passing yardage. Over his last four games, Skinner has completed 94 of 133 passes (70.7%) for 1,364 yards, 12 touchdowns and four interceptions.
Deacon Offense Continues to Explode
- The Deacons came into the Maryland game leading the ACC in total offense and did nothing to detract from that distinction. Wake Forest piled up 516 yards of total offense, which was the most by a Deacon team since finishing with 557 yards on Oct. 29, 2005, against Duke.
- Wake Forest had 381 yards of total offense in the first half alone, jumping out to a 35-10 halftime lead. The Deacons' 35 points were their most in a half since scoring 35 against North Carolina A&T on Sept. 18, 2004.
- The Deacons scored six touchdowns tonight against Maryland. The last time Wake had six or more TDs in a game was Sept. 18, 2004, vs. North Carolina A&T when the Deacons scored six TDs and won 42-3.
- Over their past four games, the Deacons are averaging 457.2 yards of total offense.
Givens & Williams Haul in TD Passes for Fourth Straight Game
- WR Chris Givens caught five passes for 116 yards and two touchdowns. It was Givens' first career multiple TD game and second consecutive 100-yard receiving performance.
- WR Marshall Williams caught six passes for 71 yards and one TD.
- Givens and Williams have each caught a touchdown pass in four straight games.
- Over his last three games, Williams has 24 catches for 323 yards and four TDs.
- Over his past two games, Givens has 13 catches for 229 yards and three TDs.
Noting the Deacon Defense
- Wake Forest's defense registered four sacks in the game. It was the first time the Deacons had 4+ sacks since tallying four vs. Boston College in 2008.
- DT John Russell and DE Tristan Dorty led the way with two sacks apiece.
- Wake also had a total of eight pass breakups vs. Maryland, with Brandon Ghee leading the way with four.
- Safety Cyhl Quarles led the Deacons with seven tackles to take over the team season lead with 35.
Miscellaneous Notes
- Wake Forest's game captains were OG Barrett McMillin and FB Anthony Williams.
- Wake lost the coin toss for the fourth straight game and received the opening kickoff for the fourth straight time.
- The legendary Arnold Palmer was the special guest to Open the Gate.
- Wake Forest's 21 points in the first quarter marked the most points in a quarter since getting 21 in the first vs. North Carolina A&T on Sept. 18, 2004
- Wake Forest went over 400 yards of total offense for the fourth time this season.
- OT Dennis Godfrey suffered a knee injury at the end of the first quarter and did not return to the game.
- CB Dominique Tate recorded his first career interception in just his second career game.
- The last time Wake Forest scored 42+ points came at Navy in 2007 when the Deacons defeated the Midshipmen 44-24.
