Wake Forest Head Coach Dino Gaudio
On the game tonight...
"I thought we did a great job tonight, I thought we did a great job on the backboards. We had something like fifty-one defensive rebounds and twenty-something offensive rebounds. I think for the most part our defense was pretty good, we held them to thirty-eight percent. I thought we did some really good things, rebounded the ball really well, guarded for the most part in the first half very, very well and I'll tell you it's a good win for us."
On the turnovers in the second half...
"I told the kids afterwards that what we are going to see is that it's really congested in the lane and that if the first guy isn't going to be able to make the play, he has to drive for others. We turned the ball over a little bit in transitions, which usually we are very good at. I told the kids there are just a couple of things we have to clean up and turnovers are one of them."
On the team's response when Oral Roberts cut into the lead...
"I told the kids at the beginning of the season that we are going to face adversity; how we handle that adversity will define us a little bit. I thought Farouq did a great job with that, making a couple of big shots. We called a timeout, rounded them up and said, here it is, what are you going to do with it."
Oral Roberts Head Coach Scott Sutton
Thoughts on the game...
"In the past 10 plus years or so we've played some very good teams with a lot of very good big guys, but we've never been dominated on the glass like we were tonight. I'm not sure I've ever see a team where the first half I think they missed 19 or 20 shots but they had 14 offensive rebounds. That makes a difference in the game. I thought we played better in the second half but we just dug ourselves too big of a hole."
"I think they are going to cause a lot of people problems if they can get guys like Stewart and Aminu that can knock down some shots, they'll do very well."
