Deacons Host Coppin State on Monday Night

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's basketball team will attempt its fourth consecutive win when it hosts Coppin State on Monday night at the LJVM Coliseum beginning at 7 p.m.

The Demon Deacons improved to 3-0 for the year after taking their first road win on Saturday, topping Miami of Ohio in Oxford, Ohio, 78-62. Junior forward Brittany Waters led all scorers with 33 points, setting a new career-high.

Coppin State is 2-1, suffering its first loss of the season at George Washington on Thursday. Shante Cummings leads the Eagles with 19.1 points per game and Jeanine Manley has the team-high 7.3 rebounds per game.

Wake Forest leads Coppin State 4-0 in the all-time series, with all games held in Winston-Salem. When the teams faced each other last December Wake Forest posted a 74-53 win.

Wake Forest will squeeze in one more home game before Thanksgiving break, hosting cross-town rival High Point at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25.
