Team Records and Series Notes:

Tonight was the first meeting between the two teams in 11 seasons. The Deacons still lead the overall series 33-12.
The loss was the first ever November loss at the Joel Coliseum for Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons had won their first 50 November games at the facility.
The loss snapped Wake Forest's 22-game home non-conference winning streak. The last home non-conference loss for the Deacons was an 87-86 defeat to Georgia in December of 2006.

Wake Forest Team Notes:

Key Run: Leading 19-18 with 7:09 to play in the first half, William & Mary ended the half on a 12-4 run to take a 31-22 lead into the break.
Key Stat: Wake Forest shot a season-low 35 percent (26-74) from the field in the game. William & Mary made 44 percent (22-50) of their field goals including 41 percent (7-17) from three-point range.
The Deacons led only once in the game when they took a 6-5 lead on an Aminu layup with 13:23 to play in the first half.
Wake Forest used the same starting lineup it used in its first four games: sophomore Al-Farouq Aminu, senior Chas McFarland, senior Ishmael Smith, senior L.D. Willliams, and sophomore Tony Woods.
Wake Forest has now made a three-point field goal in 556 consecutive games.

The Deacons will return to action when they travel to take on Purdue in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Dec. 1. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and the game will be televised on ESPN.

Wake Forest Individual Notes

Al-Farouq Aminu pulled down 12 rebounds in the first half and finished with a career-high 20. Aminu's previous career high was 14 boards against Maryland last season. He is the first Deacon to grab 20 rebounds in a game since Eric Williams pulled in 20 against Clemson in January of 2006.
Aminu also scored 11 points for his third double-double of the season and 13th of his career.
Ishmael Smith scored 11 points and had 11 assists for a double-double of his own. Smith has scored in double figures for four consecutive games.
C. J. Harris came off the bench to lead Wake Forest with 17 points, going 5-10 from beyond the arc.
Konner Tucker returned to action after sitting out the Winston-Salem State game with an injury. Tucker finished with six points in five minutes of play.
Junior Gary Clark remained sidelined with an illness.
