Riley Skinner Finishes Collegiate Career in Fine Fashion

  • Senior quarterback Riley Skinner closed his college career with perhaps his best game at Wake Forest, going 28-for-38 for a career-high 372 yards and five touchdown passes.
  • Skinner recorded his fifth 300-yard passing game of the season and 24th 200-yard passing game of his career, both school records.
  • The five TD passes marked a school record for touchdown passes in a game.
  • Skinner closes the 2009 season with 3,160 yards and 26 touchdowns on 264-of-400 passing
  • Skinner set single-season Wake Forest records in touchdowns and passing yards, while also tying the single-season mark for pass completions.

  • Riley Skinner closes his Wake Forest career with a school-record 9,762 passing yards and 60 touchdowns. The 9,762 passing yards ranks fourth in ACC history.
  • Skinner also finished his career with 9,923 yards of total offense, which is a Wake Forest record and also fourth in conference history.
  • Skinner eclipsed the 900 completion mark, finishing with 903 career completions.
  • Skinner narrowly missed the ACC completion percentage record, finishing at 66.9 percent (903-of-1349). The record is held by Matt Schaub, who completed 67 percent (716-of-1069) of his career passes.

Wake Forest Offense Posts Season-High Point Total

  • The Wake Forest offense enjoyed its best scoring output of the season, scoring a season-high 45 points. The 45 points were the most points scored in a game since November 1, 2003, a 45-17 win vs. Clemson.
  • The Demon Deacons finished the game with 499 yards of total offense, marking the second straight game that Wake Forest has had more than 450 yards total offense.

Wake Forest Receivers Enjoy Big Day

  • Chris Givens caught his eighth touchdown pass of the season, the most among the nation's freshmen receivers this season. Givens caught five passes for 78 yards in the game.
  • Marshall Williams went over the 100-yard mark in receiving for the third time this season. He finished the game with 119 receiving yards.
  • Devon Brown had his second multi-touchdown game of the season, catching two TD passes. Brown had a team-high tying eight catches for 82 yards.
