C.J. Harris Named ACC Rookie of the Week

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest freshman guard C.J. Harris has been named the ACC Rookie of the Week after averaging 16.5 points in Wake Forest's two games last week.

Harris has posted season-highs in points in each of his last three contests, pushing his double-digit scoring streak to three games.

In the Deacons' 76-52 defeat of Winston-Salem State on Wednesday, Harris finished with 16 points on 5-of-7 shooting. The Winston-Salem native also pulled down a season-best five rebounds.

In Wake's 78-68 loss to William & Mary on Saturday, Harris scored 17 points and hit five three-pointers. He also tallied two steals on the night.

On the season, Harris is averaging 11.8 points per game and is shooting 55.9 percent (19-of-34) from the field.

Duke's Jon Scheyer was named the ACC Player of the Week.

Wake Forest is 4-1 on the season. The Deacons will play at No. 4/6-ranked Purdue on Tuesday in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
