
Skinner Named ACC Offensive Player of the Week

Wake Forest senior quarterback Riley Skinner today was named the ACC Offensive Back of the Week for his performance against Duke on Saturday.
Skinner, a 6-1, 210-pound redshirt senior from Jacksonville, Fla. (The Bolles School) completed 28 of 38 passes for a career-high 372 yards and a school record five touchdowns in a 45-34 win at Duke on Nov. 28. Skinner threw scoring passes of 28 and 8 yards to Devon Brown, 54 yards to Chris Givens, 13 yards to Kevin Harris and 49 yards to Marshall Williams.
His first two touchdown passes tied the game at 7-7 and 14-14, respectively, while his third gave the Demon Deacons the lead for good.
Skinner became the first Wake Forest quarterback to ever throw for 3,000 yards in a season, finishing with 3,160 passing yards. He also tied the school season record with 264 pass attempts.
Skinner finished his career in fourth place in ACC history with 9,762 passing yards and 9,923 yards of total offense. He also finished seventh with 60 touchdown passes.
