Women's Basketball Exhibition Game Tonight

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's basketball team will play its first and only exhibition game tonight at 7 p.m., hosting Mars Hill at the Joel Coliseum.

This will be Wake Forest's first public matchup of the 2009-10 season and first chance for fans to see the team's five true freshmen: Sandra Garcia (Hollywood, Fla.), Lakevia Boykin (Raleigh, N.C.), Asia Williams (Durham, N.C.), Mykala Walker (Duluth, Ga.), and Patrice Baptista (Hickory, N.C.).

Mars Hill has played one other preseason contest, a road contest with UNC Asheville on November 6, where the Bulldogs fell 92-72. Junior Brittini Young put up a game-high 25 points for Mars Hill and sophomore Taylor Deal led the Bulldogs in rebounding with 10 boards.

The Demon Deacons will begin the regular season this Friday, November 13, when they host Jacksonville at 5 p.m.
