WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's soccer team placed three players on the NSCAA/Performance Subaru Men's NCAA Division I All-America Team. Juniors Corben Bone and Ike Opara earned first team honors, while senior Zack Schilawski was named to the third team.

Bone and Opara received NSCAA All-American honors for the second straight year, while Schilawski earned the first All-America accolades of his career, becoming the 20th Demon Deacon to be named an All-American.

Wake Forest, North Carolina and Akron led all teams with three players on the All-America teams. The Deacs and Zips each had two players on the first team.

A M.A.C. Hermann Trophy finalist, Bone scored three goals and added 13 assists during the 2009 season. The Plano, Texas, native scored Wake's only goal in a 2-1 overtime loss to Virginia in the NCAA semifinals last Friday. Bone ranks second in the ACC in assists and is eighth nationally in assists per game. The 2009 ACC Offensive Player of the Year has 38 assists in his career, which ranks second in school history, and also has 68 career points, ranking ninth in school annals.

Opara, who hails from Durham, N.C., was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight year. Considered one of the top defenders in college soccer, Opara helped Wake Forest to six shutouts in 2009 and 20 clean sheets over the past two seasons. On the offensive end, Opara contributed three goals and two assists during his junior year.

Schilawski, an All-ACC first team selection, led the conference with 14 goals and 35 points. A native of Cary, N.C., Schilawski led Wake Forest with five game-winning goals on the season and also notched seven assists. For his career, Schilawski played in a school record 99 games, scoring 40 goals and adding 20 assists. He finishes his collegiate career ranked third in school history in goals and points (100).

Schilawski Named First Team All-America by Lowe's Senior CLASS Award: Zack Schilawski was named to the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award Senior All-America First Team.

Not only is Schilawski stellar on the soccer field, but he is also excels in the classroom and in the community.

Schilawski is set to graduate in December with a degree in biology. He currently carries a 3.576 GPA and is a three time member of the ACC Honor Roll. Schilawski has been named an ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American in 2008 and 2009 and was the ACC Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2008.

Schilawski has also been active in the Wake Forest community during his collegiate career. He has been involved with projects such as Santa's Helper, Ronald McDonald House, Donate Life Walk and the Organ Donor Walk.

Penn State's Jason Yeisley was selected as the winner of the 2009 Lowe's Senior CLASS Award.
