
C.J. Harris Named ACC Co-Rookie of the Week

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest freshman guard C.J. Harris has been named the ACC Co-Rookie of the Week after averaging 16.5 points in Wake Forest's two road games against ranked opponents last week.
Harris, who was also named ACC Rookie of the Week last Monday, shared this week's honor with Georgia Tech's Mfon Udofia.
In Wake Forest's 69-58 loss at No. 4 Purdue on Tuesday, Harris tied for the team lead with 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting. He made 2-of-3 from three-point range, seeing 31 minutes of action off the bench.
Harris made his first career start in the Deacons' 77-75 win at No. 17 Gonzaga on Saturday and led the team with 19 points. He went 2-for-3 from three-point range and made 13-of-15 free throw attempts. Harris also dished out two assists, pulled down four boards and did not commit a turnover in 32 minutes of action.
On the week, Harris went 7-for-14 from the floor, 4-of-6 from beyond the arc and 15-of-17 at the charity stripe.
On the season, Harris is averaging 13.1 points per game and is shooting 54.2 percent (26-of-48) from the field, including a 52.4 percent (11-of-21) mark from three-point range. Harris has scored in double figures in five straight games, leading the team in scoring in each of the past four.
Boston College's Corey Raji was named the ACC Player of the Week.
Wake Forest is 5-2 on the season and is receiving votes in the latest ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. The Deacons are off this week for final exams and will return to action on Sunday, Dec. 13, against Elon.
