WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Sean Randolph, a forward/midfielder from Chino Hills, Calif., has been added to the 2009 Wake Forest men's soccer recruiting class, as announced on Monday by head coach Jay Vidovich.
"Sean is a great late addition to the class," Vidovich said. "He has a great pedigree with his brother having played in the MLS. He's an attacking left-footed player who can score and create goals. We're excited to add him to our team."
Randolph is the seventh member of the 2009 recruiting class, joining Anthony Arena, Luciano Delbono, Gimel Gordon, Michael Lisch, Will Mayhew and Ben Newnam.
Randolph played soccer and football while at Ruben S. Ayala High School. He was defensive MVP of his football team during his freshman and sophomore years and started for the varsity soccer team all four seasons.
Randolph, whose brother, Michael, played two years for the Los Angeles Galaxy, plays his club soccer for CZ Elite, under head coach Cherif Zein. CZ Elite recently won the 2009 Region IV Championship and will be playing in the U.S. Soccer Nationals in late July.
