With the Win...
- Wake Forest evens its record to 1-1 on the season.

- The Deacons won their first-ever matchup with the Stanford Cardinal. It was also Wake's first-ever meeting with a team from the state of California.
- Wake Forest has defeated a Pac-10 team during the regular season for the first time in school history. It was the Deacons' first-ever game against the conference during the regular season.
- The Deacons are now 4-0 all-time against the Pac-10, including three bowl victories.
- Wake Forest has won its 99th game at BB&T Field. Wake's record, since the facility opened in 1968, stands at 99-126-4.

- Wake Forest is 27-9 in non-conference games under Jim Grobe.
- The Deacs are now 44-13 under Grobe when scoring 24 or more points.

Skinner Sets School Record
- Senior QB Riley Skinner set the school record for most career completions with his seventh completion of the game. He finished with 18 completions against Stanford to give him 677 for his career. The previous school record was 665 set by Brian Kuklick (1994-98).
- Skinner finished the day 18-of-26 for 187 yards and a touchdown. He also had four carries for 21 yards and a touchdown.
- His touchdown pass to Jordan Williams in the fourth quarter was his 37th career TD strike, and it places him fourth on the school's all-time list. Skinner is seven TD passes shy of the school record of 44.

- Skinner also caught his first pass since Oct. 7, 2006, vs. Clemson when he hauled in a TD pass from wide receiver Nate Morton.
- Skinner posted the seventh fourth-quarter game-winning drive of his career, including his fifth at BB&T Field. It was his first since leading the Deacs back for a win against Navy in the 2008 EagleBank Bowl.

Wake Forest Has Big Second Half
- Wake Forest posted big second-half numbers to pull out a 24-17 comeback win.

Deacons Rally From Two Touchdowns Down
- Wake Forest rallied back from a 14-point deficit, 17-3, to post the 24-17 win. It was just the 11th time since 1955 that the Deacons have come back from 14 or more to post a victory.
- The last time Wake Forest rallied back from 14 or more down came against Maryland in 2007. In that game, the Deacons trailed 24-3 late in the third quarter.

WR Lovell Jackson Makes First Catch Count
- Redshirt freshman Lovell Jackson saw his first collegiate action today and made his first career catch. Jackson's catch proved to be a big one, as it set up the Deacons' game-winning score late in the fourth quarter.

- Williams caught his first touchdown since the NC State game in 2007.

Stanford Kicker Sets BB&T Field Record
- Stanford PK Nate Whitaker tied the BB&T Field record with a 54-yard field goal as time expired in the first half. The previous mark was set by Appalachian State's Billy VanAman in 1983.
- The kick also is tied for the third longest field goal made against Wake Forest at any venue. It was the longest since Sebastian Janikowski (FSU) made a 56-yarder on Nov. 15, 1997.
