With the Loss...
- Wake Forest falls to 2-2 on the season, snapping its two-game winning streak.
- The Deacons opens ACC play at 0-1 for the first time since the 2007 season when Wake Forest fell at Boston College to begin conference play.
- Wake Forest drops to 18-39 all-time in ACC openers, including a 3-6 mark under Jim Grobe.
- Jim Grobe falls to 56-46 in his ninth year at Wake Forest. In his 15th season as a head coach, Grobe is now 89-79-1.
- The Deacons are now 2-5 in overtime.
- Wake Forest is 28-37 in ACC games under Jim Grobe.
- The Deacons drop to 21-15 under Grobe in September games.

Riley Skinner Has Career Day
- Senior QB Riley Skinner completed a season-best 25 of 35 passes for a career-high 354 yards and two touchdowns.
- Skinner's 354 yards passing is most by Deacon QB since Brian Kuklick had 421 vs. NC State in 1998
- Skinner also finished with 357 total yards of offense today to give him 7,413 for his career. He ranks second on the school's career list, 425 yards back of career leader Brian Kuklick (1994-98) with 7,838 yards.
- Skinner now has 42 career touchdown passes, two shy of Gary Schofield and Brian Kuklick's school record of 44.
- Skinner added to his school record for pass completions, giving him 716 for his career.
- Skinner has now thrown for 634 yards in the past two games (354 at BC, 289 vs. Elon), which is the highest two-game total in his career.
- The last Deacon QB to throw for over 300 yards in a game was Cory Randolph vs. UNC in 2003 (311 yds)
Marshall Williams Turns in 100-Yard Receiving Game
- WR Marshall Williams caught a career-high 12 passes for a career-best 180 yards today.
- It was just Williams' second career 100-yard game, with the first one coming at NC State last season.
- He is the first Deacon receiver to record 180-yards receiving since Kenny Moore had 181 yards against Navy in 2007.
- Williams bested his previous career-high for receiving yards by 100 yards. He has 80-yards vs. Elon last week.
Devon Brown Goes Over 100-yards Receiving
- Wide out Devon Brown hauled in a career-high five passes for a career-high 101-yards. His previous career-high was four catches for 58 yards against Stanford (9-5-09).
Red Zone Attempts
- Wake Forest converted three of its five trips inside the red zone today. The Deacons converted with two touchdowns and a field goal.
- For the season, the Deacons have now converted 13 of 16 red zone attempts for 81.2 percent. Wake Forest has produced 11 touchdowns and two field goal this season when reaching the red zone.
Newman, Williams Post Career Firsts
- PK Jimmy Newman booted his first career field goal with a 23-yarder in the second quarter. Newman finished the day 1-for-2 on field goals, including a missed 51-yarder in the second quarter.
- Sophomore CB Michael Williams recorded his first career interception in the second quarter. Williams intercepted Dave Shinskie's pass at the Wake 45 and returned it 13 yards to the BC 42. Wake Forest converted the turnover into a field goal.
Pendergrass Goes for 76-Yard Touchdown Run
- Brandon Pendergrass got the Deacons on the board with a 76-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.
- Pendergrass' touchdown run is tied for ninth-longest rush in Wake Forest history and is the ninth-longest touchdown run in school history.
- It is the longest rush by a Deacon since Josh Adams had an 83-yard touchdown run against Florida State in 2007.
- The touchdown was Pendergrass' first of the season and the sixth touchdown of his career.
Miscellaneous Notes
- Wake Forest's game captains were #67 Trey Bailey and #99 Michael Lockett.
- Wake lost the coin toss for the second time this season. Boston College deferred; Wake Forest received the opening kickoff and defended the North goal.
- Wake Forest has 496 yards of total offense today. This was the third straight game (426 vs Elon, 458 vs Stanford) Wake has had 400+ yards of total offense.
- Wake had not had three straight games of 400+ total offense yards since the first three games of the 2004 season (Clemson 410, East Carolina 584, NCA&T 405)
- Wake Forest has a three-game road losing streak dating back to a 12-3 win at Florida State on Sept. 20, 2008
