WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Looking to rebound from last week's 27-24 heartbreaking overtime loss at Boston College, Wake Forest returns home to host the NC State Wolfpack on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at BB&T Field. The game will be televised on ESPNU and is also available on the Wake Forest ISP Radio Network.
The Deacons come in at 2-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play. Wake had a win snatched away from it by the BC last week. The Deacs were down 24-10 with 5:07 to play in the game, but QB Riley Skinner threw two touchdowns in the final four minutes of the game to send it to overtime.
After BC settled for a field goal on its opening overtime possession, Wake fought its way to a first down at the four-yard line and looked to be in fine shape for a game-winning touchdown. However, the Eagles stripped Skinner on a busted run play and recovered the fumble to seal the win.
NC State comes to town riding a three-game winning streak. The Wolfpack, who are 3-1 overall and have yet to play an ACC contest, are coming off a 38-31 combeback win over Pittsburgh last Saturday in Raleigh.
The all-time series between Wake Forest and NC State dates back to 1895. The Wolfpack lead the series, 61-35-6, but the Deacons have won three of the past four meetings.
Quickie Notes

- The game also features the league's top two offenses, as NC State is second in total offense. Wake and State are the only two ACC teams ranked in the top five of the league in both rushing offense and passing offense.
