Blue Devils Host Deacons on Sunday

DURHAM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's basketball team will continue conference play this weekend as it faces Duke in Durham on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Wake Forest opened conference season with a 66-63 home win over Virginia Tech, marking the first time since the 1991-92 season that the Demon Deacons have won their conference opener. Freshman Sandra Garcia added 22 points in the Wake Forest victory.

The Demon Deacons are 10-5, 1-0 and the Blue Devils are 13-2, 1-0, with a recent victory at Clemson.

Duke leads the all-time series 50-18 and holds a 32 game winning streak against the Deacons in the last matchups.

Wake Forest will be back on the road to face Georgia Tech in Atlanta on Thursday, January 14 at 7 p.m.
