Luckhurst and Logue Named to Academic All-District Team

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest women's soccer players Casey Luckhurst and Jackie Logue were named to the CoSIDA/ESPN Women's Soccer Academic All-District Team as announced by the Academic All-America Committee Tuesday. Both Luckhurst and Logue were second-team selections.
Luckhurst has one of the highest GPAs on the team and has made the Dean's List in all six of her semesters at Wake Forest. The Boca Raton, Fla. native is a two-time ACC Honor Roll member and will graduate in May with a degree in economics and chemistry and a minor in biology. She has appeared in 69 games in her four-year career, totaling six goals and 13 points.
Logue, a sophomore defender, boasts the highest GPA on the team and was a 2009 All-ACC Academic Team selection. The native of Mount Laurel, N.J., has started 41 games in her first two years at Wake Forest, totaling nine points, and she was a member of the Wake Forest defense that recorded a school-record 15 shutouts in 2009.
To be eligible for nomination, a student-athlete must have participated in at least 50 percent of her team's games, be of at least sophomore standing academically and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3.
