After opening the season with three solid home victories, Wake Forest heads to the WBCA Classic hosted by Notre Dame. The Deacons will open the classic against Butler on Friday, Nov. 26 at 4:30 p.m., and then will face host Notre Dame on Saturday, Nov. 27 at 2 p.m. Wake will conclude the weekend against IUPUI on Sunday, Nov. 28 at Noon. All three games will be played at the Joyce Center on the campus of Notre Dame.

Wake's offense has been the story so far this season, as it is averaging 96 points per game. Depth has also been key with eight different Demon Deacons having scored in double-figures already this year.

Senior Brittany Waters and sophomore Sandra Garcia lead the way as both are averaging 13.7 points per contest. Waters exploded for 22 points on a career-high 5-for-8 from long range in the win over William & Mary. Garcia has been a force on the glass as well, leading the team with 28 rebounds, including 13 on the offensive end.

Freshman point guard Chelsea Douglas has had a very good start to her career. She is averaging 13.3 points per game and led the Deacs in her first collegiate game with 18 points against NC Central. Fellow freshman Erin Hall and Jaymee Carnes have also acquitted themselves nicely. Hall has made six three-pointers through the first three games and Carnes is averaging almost seven points and six rebounds per game.

Point guard Brooke Thomas played in every game in her first two seasons and that experience is showing so far this year. She's dished out 12 assists and has only committed three turnovers. Thomas also has 10 steals and grabbed a career-high seven rebounds against William & Mary.

Butler comes into the weekend with a 2-1 record. The Bulldogs are led by Brittany Bowen who is scoring nearly 17 points per game. She is also a perfect 16-of-16 from the foul line.

Notre Dame started the season with a pair of victories and was ranked No. 12 in the country. But this past week, the Irish lost a heartbreaking double-overtime game to No. 15 UCLA and five-point game to No. 9 Kentucky.

IUPUI defeated IU-Southeast on Tuesday and now stands at 1-2 on the year.
