WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest head basketball coach Jeff Bzdelik announced on Saturday that freshman forward Melvin Tabb (Raleigh, N.C./Enloe) has been reinstated to the basketball team.

Tabb was temporarily released from basketball activities on Nov. 22 in order to focus on his academic work. Fall semester final exams wrapped up on Saturday at Wake Forest.

Tabb sat out each of the past four games before returning to practice with the team on Friday evening. He will be in uniform and available for Sunday's game against UNC Wilmington in Greensboro.

Tabb is averaging 2.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 11 minutes of action in three games. Tabb had missed portions of preseason practice due to a bout of mononucleosis. He sat out the season opener against Stetson due to the illness.
