Josh Harris Earns Freshman All-America Honorable Mention

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest running back Josh Harris today received honorable mention Freshman All-America honors from College Football News.com.

Harris, a 5-10, 205-lb redshirt freshman from Duncanville, Texas (Duncanville), was Wake Forest's leading rusher in 2010. He rushed for 720 yards on 126 carries for an average of 5.7 yards per carry. Harris also led the Deacons with seven rushing touchdowns.

Harris posted a pair of 100-yard rushing games, rushing for 241 yards at Virginia Tech on Oct. 16 and 138 yards in the season finale at Vanderbilt on Nov. 27.

His 5.7 yards per carry average is the third-highest ever recorded by a Demon Deacon running back. Ken Garrett averaged 6.7 YPG in 1971 and Bill Barnes had a 6.01 average in 1956.

Marcus Lattimore of South Carolina and James White of Wisconsin were the first team running backs. Ronnie Hillman of San Diego State and Michael Dyer of Auburn were the second team backs.
