Wake Forest Head Coach Jeff Bzdelik

Opening statement...
"I'm extremely proud of my young basketball team in the midst of final exams and tutors and papers due. They're showing improvement. We defended a little bit better today and shared the ball better at times. We found a way to win another game. It was all positive today and now we're going to take some time off for finals so they can focus on what they need to do academically. We'll get back to practice on Wednesday."

On CJ Harris...
"CJ Harris is a very intelligent and a very efficient player. He is growing into a leader and I think he is becoming more comfortable in his role as a point guard. He played an outstanding game tonight, not only offensively but defensively as well."

On Travis McKie's day...
"Travis is one of those throwback players. When the smoke clears at the end of the game, he fills up that stat sheet. Last game against Iowa, offensively he didn't put up that many points, but he filled out the stat sheet with rebounds and assists. Defensively, he helped out with things that don't show up on the score sheet. To get a double-double today, which is his third this season as a freshman, 18 points, 11 rebounds, two steals, a block and an assist. He was very efficient. He does a lot of things that we're starting to take for granted, but that are so important to winning."

On Gary Clark being a leader on the floor...
"I think first and foremost, Gary plays the game with a ton of passion. His energy is contagious. When you have a senior doing that, it uplifts everybody, including the people in the arena. I want to say something about our crowd today. I thought we had a great crowd for a Saturday afternoon game to support these guys as they continue to get better. We really appreciate that support. Gary's passion and energy that he played with today, along with the crowd, these are things that are very important to a young team."

On Gary Clark's dynamic off the bench this season...
"Let me say something about Gary Clark. I had a fan ask me the other day on campus why isn't Gary starting. To Gary's credit, he told me he didn't need to start. He put his own ego aside from a starting standpoint to be a leading member of this basketball team. That's the kind of young man he is. He thinks about other people and he knows he's going to play. He's confident in his ability and an outstanding young man."
