Q: When did you first start playing basketball?
A: I think when I first started I might've been five or six years old, just shooting in the driveway with my dad.

Q: When did you first realize you were "good" at basketball?
A: I'd probably say the end of my sophomore year in high school. That's when coaches started to come watch me play, and I realized that I could be playing Division I basketball.

Q: Have you always been one of the tallest players on the court growing up playing basketball?
A: Yes. I've been consistently tall, no growth spurts or anything like that.

Q: What is the one area of your game that you have had to work the hardest on to improve?
A: I think just playing post defense.

Q: What is the one area of your game that has just seemed to come naturally?
A: Shooting, for me. Since I've been little, I've always been able to shoot.

Q: What is your best memory of your high school basketball career?
A: My best memories from high school would probably be both state championships that I won. I can't really compare the two: one was my sophomore year and the other we won my senior year.

Q: What is your best memory of your AAU basketball career?
A: We finished second in the Providence Jam Fest. We got a lot of recognition for that.

Q: What coach or mentor has had the most influence on your basketball career and why?
A: During high school, it was my AAU coach Vin Pastore and my high school coach Rick Nault. They definitely developed me into the player that I am today.

Q: What were you looking for in a college when you were being recruited?
A: I was looking for a family feel, looking to get along with the players instantly and connect with them quickly. During my visit at Wake I felt that.

Q: What do you see yourself doing after your basketball career is finished?
A: I have no idea yet. Maybe just keep playing basketball.
