Sandra Garcia Named to ACC All-Freshman Team

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest women's basketball freshman Sandra Garcia was named to the 2010 Atlantic Coast Conference All-Freshman Team.
Garcia, a center from the Miami suburb of Hollywood, Fla., averages 9.7 points per game and 7.7 rebounds. Garcia is second among ACC freshman in scoring and rebounding during league contests.
Garcia is a two-time ACC Rookie of the Week recipient and is one of only three ACC players to log at least ten games with ten or more rebounds.
Wake Forest, who earned the fifth seed in the upcoming ACC Tournament, will begin play on Thursday at 11 a.m. with 12-seed Miami.
