Women's Tennis Opens Conference Season at NC State

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's tennis team will begin play in the Atlantic Coast Conference on Saturday with NC State in Raleigh.

Wake Forest is 5-4, with recent wins over FIU and Furman. Sasha Kulikova leads Wake Forest at No. 1 singles with a near perfect 8-1 record.

The Wolfpack is 4-3 and 0-2 in the ACC. The squad opened conference season with No. 6 Duke on February 25, dropping a 7-0 match. On March 4 the squad was also swept by North Carolina. Sophomore Sandhya Nagaraj leads NC State at No. 1 singles with a 5-2 record.

Saturday's match kicks off a seven-game road trip, including Wake Forest's spring matches at South Carolina and the College of Charleston on March 9 and 10.
