Scoring Onslaught
- The Deacons scored 28 points in the second quarter, tying a school record that has been matched on three other occasions, most recently in 2003 against Clemson at BB&T Field.
- The final score of 54-48 set a BB&T Field record for combined points in a game with 102. The previous high was also set in a Duke vs. Wake Forest game, when the Blue Devils beat the Deacons 52-35 in 1989, totaling 87 points.
- The teams' 102 combined points was the second-highest highest in ACC history for a conference game. Wake Forest was also on the wrong side of the highest-scoring ACC game, a 82-24 thrashing at the hands of Clemson on Oct. 31, 1981.
- Duke's 48 points was the most-ever scored by a losing team in an ACC contest.
- Eight touchdowns is the most-ever by Wake Forest at BB&T field
- Devon Brown's six-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter gave the Deacons a 54-41 lead and put them over the 50-point mark for the second consecutive game. It is the first time in school history that Wake Forest has had back-to-back 50-point games.

Givens Shines in Season Debut
- Making his season debut after being held out of the Presbyterian game, Chris Givens achieved a new career-high for receiving yards, catching four passes totaling 159 yards and a touchdown. His 81-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter was the longest catch of his career.
- Givens scored Wake Forest's second touchdown when he picked up a fumbled snap on a punt and returned it 18 yards to the end zone. It was the first non-offensive touchdown of his career.
- Givens set another career high with five kick returns. His previous high was four, which happened twice, most recently against NC State on Oct. 3, 2009.

Record-setting Wide Receiver Pass
- Marshall Williams completed an 81-yard touchdown pass to Chris Givens off an end-around in the second quarter to give the Deacons a 28-21 lead. It was the third-longest pass in school history, the longest by a receiver, and the longest by the Deacons in a home game.
- Williams' pass was the Deacons' second 80+ yard play this season, after Devon Brown broke an 85-yard run against Presbyterian. Wake Forest had never-before had two offensive plays of 80 yards or more in the same season.
- Williams is now a perfect 4 for 4 on pass attempts in his career, with the today's scoring throw being his first-ever touchdown pass.
- Williams is no stranger to gadget passing plays. Against NC State on Nov. 15, 2008, he caught a 64-yard touchdown pass from wide receiver D.J. Boldin.
- Williams only caught two passes today, but both went for touchdowns with his second score coming in the third quarter off a 38-yard pass from Tanner Price. The two touchdowns tied a career high.

Frye's Interception Streak Continues
- Alex Frye intercepted a tipped pass in the second quarter, marking his third consecutive game with an interception, dating back to last year's season-ender against Duke.
- Frye intercepted another pass later in the quarter, marking his first-ever multi-interception game. It is the first two-interception game for a Demon Deacon since 2008 when Alphonso Smith picked off two passes against Duke.
- Frye also recorded a forced fumble and four tackles.

Tanner Price
- Tanner Price completed a career-high 12 passes on 19 attempts for 190 yards and three touchdowns and one interception.
- Tanner Price scored his first career touchdown with 8:07 remaining in the second quarter on a quarterback sneak from the 1-yard line.
- His 48-yard pass to Chris Givens in the second quarter was his career-long pass completion.
