Tanner Price
- Tanner Price became the third true freshman quarterback to start for an FBS team this season. Penn State's Rob Bolden and Colorado State's Pete Thomas have also done so.
- Price became the first true freshman to start at quarterback for Wake Forest since Anthony Young in 2000.
- Price's 22-yard touchdown run in the third quarter was the longest run of his career.
Michael Campanaro
- RS freshman Michael Campanaro rushed for a career-high 41 yards.
- Campanaro scored his first-career touchdown on a 22-yard reverse, also the longest run of his career.
With the Loss
- Wake Forest falls to 2-1.
- Wake Forest suffered its first-ever loss to a Pac 10 team and now has a record of 4-1 vs. the conference.
- Jim Grobe's record stands at 61-52 at Wake Forest and 94-85-1 lifetime.
- Wake Forest lost its fourth straight game to a ranked opponent, dating back to 2008.
Wake vs. Nationally-Ranked Opponents
- Wake Forest is 19-109-1 all-time against nationally-ranked opponents.
-The Deacons are 8-36 vs. ranked opponents at home, 9-68 on the road and 2-5-1 at neutral sites.
-Wake Forest's last win against a ranked foe came on Sept. 20, 2008 when the Deacons defeated No. 24 Florida State 12-3 at Doak Campbell Stadium.
-Since that time, Wake has lost four straight games to ranked opponents. Prior to the win at Florida State, the Deacons had lost 30 straight road games vs. ranked opponents since beating No. 14 North Carolina in 1979.
Miscellaneous Notes
- RS junior Devon Brown has caught at least one pass in his last 15 games.
- Wake Forest is 50-17 under Grobe when scoring 24 or more points.
- The last time Wake Forest gave up 60 points was on November 21, 1998, a 63-35 loss to Georgia Tech.
- Stanford's 41 first-half points were the most points Wake Forest has given up in a half since Florida State scored 42 on September 29, 2001 in Tallahassee.
- RS junior Cyhl Quarles tied a career high with eight tackles.
- Sophomore Jimmy Newman kicked a career-long 48-yard field goal in the second quarter. He is now 4-of-6 on field goal attempts from 40-49 yards.
- RS sophomore Chris Givens scored his first-career rushing touchdown on a 22-yard scamper in the first quarter, the longest run of his career.
- RS junior C.J. Washington recorded a career-high four tackles.
- Redshirt freshman Brendan Cross made his debut as Wake Forest's holder on field goals and PATs.
- The 131 points scored by Wake Forest in its first three games is the most points scored in three consecutive games by the Deacs since 1939.
