Point Explosion
- The 53 points scored by Wake Forest is the most scored in an opener since 1941 when the Deacons beat Camp Davis 66-0 on September 20, 1941.
- The 53 points are the most points for Wake Forest in any game since 1990 when the Deacons defeated Vanderbilt 56-28 in Nashville, Tenn., on November 24.
- Wake's 21 points in the first quarter are the most points scored in a quarter since scoring 21 points in the first quarter against Maryland last season.
- The 35 first-half points are the most in a half since the Maryland game in 2009 when the Deacons matched that number in the first half en route to a 42-32 victory.
- The 53 points are the most ever scored by the Deacons at BB&T Field.
- The 53 points are the most points scored in a home contest for the Deacons since Wake scored 56 points in a 56-6 victory over Richmond on October 6, 1951, at Groves Stadium in Wake Forest, N.C.
- The 40-point margin of victory is the largest since the Deacons defeated UAB 47-3 on October 23, 1999.

Deacons Ground Assault
- Ten different Demon Deacons rushed the ball a combined 50 times for 415 yards.
- The last time Wake eclipsed the 400-yard was October 29, 2005 at Duke when the Deacs amassed 419 yards.
- Wake Forest saw five different Deacons score six rushing touchdowns.
- RS junior Devon Brown led the Deacs with 91 rushing yards on two carries, including an 85-yard TD scamper in the fourth quarter. The 85-yard run is the longest of his career. It was also the fourth longest run in Wake Forest history.
- RS freshman Josh Harris had six carries for 74 yards and two touchdowns, the first two of his career.
- Sophomore Tommy Bohanon had a career-high six carries for a career-high 47 yards. His 22-yard run was the longest of his career.
- RS sophomore Ted Stachitas recorded a team-high 10 carries for 76 yards and his first-career touchdown on the Deacs opening drive of the game.
- RS senior Josh Adams scored his 20th-career touchdown on the team's second drive. He ended with eight carries for 43 yards.

New Kids on the Block
- Wake saw four quarterbacks complete their first-career pass on their first-career attempt. RS sophomore Ted Stachitas, freshman Tanner Price, RS junior Skylar Jones and RS freshman Brendan Cross all achieved this feat.

Ted Stachitas
- RS sophomore Ted Stachitas scored the first touchdown of his career on a 34-yard scramble on Wake Forest's first drive of the game.
- Stachitas completed his first career pass attempt to Michael Campanaro for five yards on the Deacons second drive of the game.
- Stachitas completed his first pass of 10+ yards when he hit Marshall Williams down the left sideline for a 33-yard gain in the second quarter, which turned out to be his longest of the game.

Tanner Price
- Freshman Tanner Price made his collegiate debut on the Deacs first drive of the second half.
- Price is the first true freshman to play quarterback during the Jim Grobe era. He is also the first true freshman to quarterback the Deacons since Anthony Young in 2000.
- Price is the first Texan to quarterback the Deacons since Karl Sweetan in 1963.
- Price completed his first-career pass on his first-career attempt for four yards to RS junior Cameron Ford.

Kyle Wilber
-RS junior Kyle Wilber blocked a PAT in the third quarter and Kenny Okoro returned it for a defensive PAT, the first in Wake Forest history.
- Wilber had eight tackles, five tackles for a loss, three sacks and one forced fumble. The eight tackles tie a career high.
- Wilber also blocked a field goal attempt in the season opener against Baylor last year on September 5, 2009.

Cyhl Quarles
- RS junior Cyhl Quarles tied a career high with eight tackles, the third time he has reached that number in his career.

Alex Frye
- Alex Frye returned an interception 44 yards for a touchdown to make the score 21-0 in the first quarter. This is the second straight game he has returned an INT for a TD, as he did so in the 2009 season finale in Durham against Duke on November 28.

True Freshmen Seeing Action
- A.J. Marshall was the first true freshman to see time for the Deacons this year, coming in at cornerback in the first quarter. Marshall had two stops on the game.
- Kevin Johnson was the second true freshman to enter the game, doing so with 10 seconds remaining in the first quarter. Johnson finished the game with four tackles.
- Tanner Price was the third to do so when he started the second half at quarterback.
- That ties the most true freshman to play in a season under head coach Jim Grobe. The Deacons have played three true freshmen play in 2002, 2008 and 2009.

Miscellaneous Notes
- Wake Forest won the toss and elected to receive.
- Devon Brown returned the opening kickoff to the endzone, but the play was nullified on a block in the back penalty.
- Official attendance was 28,205 for the home opener.
- Captains for the game were Russell Nenon, Marshall Williams, Josh Adams and Hunter Haynes.
- Hunter Haynes and Riley Haynes became the first brothers at Wake Forest to start in the game since Warren and Levern Belin in 1989.
- Terence Davis made his first career catch on the team's second drive for a six-yard gain.
- Wake Forest has won eight straight night games and is 18-9 at night under head coach Jim Grobe.
- Wake Forest is 12-4 at home at night under head coach Jim Grobe and has won six straight home night games.
