King Fisher Society Student-Athlete of the Week - Jimmy Newman

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest junior placekicker Jimmy Newman has been named the King Fisher Society Student-Athlete of the Week.
The award, sponsored by the King Fisher Society, seeks to honor a student-athlete who has excelled both on and off the field as a Demon Deacon.
Newman is in his third season as the Demon Deacons' starting placekicker. He is currently riding a streak of 10 straight successful field goal attempts. Newman had his school-record streak of 13 straight made field goals snapped in the season opener at Syracuse.
Off the field, Newman is majoring in economics.
