WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest forward Rachel Nuzzolese was named to Soccer America's National Team of the Week after totaling a goal and two assists last Sunday to lead the Demon Deacons to a 3-2 win over Boston College in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament.
Nuzzolese scored the Deacons' opening goal in the sixth minute off of an assist from Katie Stengel, and then provided the assists on Kim Marshall and Riley Ridgik's goals with well-placed corner kicks.
The Upper Brookville, N.Y. native ranks second on the Wake Forest squad and in the top 10 in the conference with nine goals and 21 points this seasons. She has totaled three goals and two assists in the Deacons' past three games.
Nuzzolese and the rest of the Demon Deacons will take on top-seeded Duke in the semifinals of the ACC Tournament on Friday at 5:30 p.m. at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.
