NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Wednesday at the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl started with an early wake-up call for head coach Jim Grobe. The Demon Deacon head coach was out the door at 6 a.m. for a trip to downtown Nashville where he appeared live on the Bill King Show on Sirius XM radio. Grobe was back at the Opryland by 7:15 and able to attend the Fellowship of Christian Athletes breakfast which included a testimony from Wake Forest senior guard Joe Looney.
After meetings in the morning, the Deacons headed to Father Ryan High School in Nashville and held a nearly two-hour practice on the FieldTurf surface. After lunch was catered at the high school, the Deacons headed back to the Opryland Resort and selected players met with members of the media.
