NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Wake Forest started its final day of preparation for the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl by getting its first look at LP Field. The team walked around on the field and then took a team photo in the stands.
The Deacs then loaded the busses and headed for the Wildhorse Saloon in downtown Nashville for a luncheon. Both teams were introduced and then former Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher introduced nine wounded warriors that are being honored at the game on Friday. The luncheon ended with the two head coaches addressing the audience and fielding questions.
Coach Grobe headed back to LP Field after the luncheon for the bowl press conference while the team went back to the hotel to prepare for the final walk through. Wake finished the day with a practice at Father Ryan High School under cool breezy conditions.
The team will be in its usual pregame mode Thursday evening with a movie and then position meetings. Less than 24 hours to kickoff.
