The Demon Deacons are coming off a 74-68 victory over No. 8-seed Virginia in the opening round. The win avenged an earlier 27-point defeat at the hands of the Cavaliers and it marked the third-straight season that Wake has won an opening round game in the tournament.
Senior Brittany Waters recorded her third-straight double-double in the victory, scoring a game-high 21 points and pulling down 11 rebounds. The Orlando, Fla., native also dished-out five assists and had a pair of blocks. Over the last three games, Waters is averaging 27 points and 11.3 rebounds per contest.
Sophomore center Sandra Garcia scored 16 points on 8-of-11 shooting against Virginia. She has reached double-figures in four of the last five games and has made 17 of her last 20 shots from the floor.

For the first time in school-history, Wake Forest has won a game in the ACC Tournament in three-straight years. The next record the Deacs are eyeing on Friday will be multiple wins in the same tournament. Wake has now won 11 games in its 34 appearances but it still searching for its first pair of back-to-back victories.
Duke comes into the tournament as the No. 1-seed for the second-straight season. The Blue Devils won five out of their last five games to end the regular season, including a 66-58 victory over arch-rival North Carolina last Sunday.
The Deacons and Blue Devils are meeting for the ninth time in the ACC Tournament. Duke holds a 6-2 edge in the previous eight meetings and has won 34-straight games between the two schools overall.
