WINSTON-SALEM, NC - Wake Forest women's basketball player Camille Collier recently received the prestigious NCAA Ethnic Minority and Women's Enhancement Programs' Postgraduate Scholarship for Careers in Athletics. Collier, who missed last season with a knee injury, will play her final season for the Demon Deacons this winter.
The Washington D.C., native earned her sociology degree from Wake Forest last month and has been accepted into the MA Education Program this fall. She also graduated with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Social Enterprise.
Collier had over a 3.4 grade point average in her four years and was named to the Dean's List six times. She participated in the Business School's Summer Management Program and has been asked to be in the Sociology Honors Program.
On the court, Collier has played in a total of 84 games for the Demon Deacons and is eighth in school history with 115 career three pointers. She suffered a torn ACL prior to the start of last season but rehabbed well and is on pace to get back on the court this fall.
