WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest and Syracuse have mutually agreed to move their season-opening football game to Thursday, September 1. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, September 3.

Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. EDT at The Carrier Dome in Syracuse, N.Y. The game will be available on ESPN3.com.

This will be the second meeting all-time between the Demon Deacons and the Orange. Wake Forest opened its ACC Championship season in 2006 with a 20-10 win over Syracuse at BB&T Field.

The Syracuse contest will mark just the fourth time that Wake Forest has played indoors. The Deacons played at Houston in the Astrodome in 1967 and 1970 and at Tulane in the Superdome in New Orleans in 1995.
