What does being a Demon Deacon mean to you?
Everything! Always proud to be a Demon Deacon!
Why are you still involved in Wake Forest Athletics?
Being a student-athlete at Wake Forest has meant so much to me. I was afforded the opportunity to attend a world-class institution and help establish a soccer program at Wake. I cherish the experiences I had as a student and a student-athlete and want other student-athletes to have similar experiences.
Why do you feel it is important to give back to the University?
Wake Forest provided me with an outstanding education, a wonderful college experience and the opportunity to play soccer in the ACC.
What is your current occupation?
High school teacher and soccer coach
What is your favorite memory of your time at Wake Forest?
Rolling the quad after our first victory as a soccer program and rolling the quad after basketball's 1995 ACC tournament championship.
What makes you most proud of Wake Forest?
Its high personal, academic and athletic standards for its students and student-athletes.
When you come back to Wake Forest, you always...
take a drive through campus, check out the quad and eat at South by Southwest. Unfortunately, South by Southwest is closed now.
I was there when...
we won back to back ACC basketball championships. I wish I had been there for the women's soccer ACC championship this past fall!
Who is your favorite coach at Wake Forest, current or past?
This is so hard. There were and are so many wonderful coaches at Wake Forest -- Tony daLuz, Dave Odom, Jim Caldwell and Jen Averill. They all embodied the class and excellence of Wake Forest and Wake Forest athletics.
