WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The 16th-ranked men's soccer team's game against Boston College on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Spry Stadium has been selected as Wake Forest's Game of the Week. Fans in attendance can sign-in at the marketing table to be entered into a season-long drawing for great prizes, including a pair of men's basketball season tickets.
The Demon Deacons will look to remain unbeaten at home all-time against Boston College on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Spry Stadium. The Deacons and the Eagles began their series in 2005, and the Deacs are 2-0-1 against BC in Winston-Salem.
Saturday's contest will be the first time this season that Wake Forest will be on national television, with the game set to be broadcast on RSN.
The Demon Deacons enter the matchup undefeated in the Atlantic Coast Conference with a 1-0-3 record and six points. The Eagles are 1-1-1 through three games and currently have four points.
Wake Forest is coming off of a week in which it outscored its opponents 8-0 in two games, defeating Appalachian State 4-0 and ACC-foe Virginia Tech 4-0 on the road. Luca Gimenez turned in his first-career hat trick against the Hokies to lead the Deacons to victory.
Gimenez now leads the team with four goals, while Michael Gamble and Sean Okoli are tied for second with three goals apiece. Gamble and Jared Watts are tied for the team lead with three assists.
About the Wake Forest Game of the Week Program
Each week during the fall, one high-profile home event will be designated as the Game of the Week. At that game, fans should check in at the marketing table to be entered into a season-long raffle, giving them one entry for every Game of the Week that they attend. The more games attended, the greater chance to win.
At the men's soccer game against Maryland on Nov. 1, a drawing will be held for a Grand Prize of two men's basketball season tickets and a Wake Forest prize pack. Other prizes include four tickets to a men's basketball ACC home game, four tickets to a men's basketball non-conference game and four women's basketball season passes.
