Deacons to Host Duke in ACC Championship Quarterfinal

- No. 3 Wake Forest earned the No. 3 seed in the 2012 ACC Championship and hosts sixth-seeded and 12th-ranked Duke on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Spry Stadium in the quarterfinals.
- Tickets are eight dollars for adults and five dollars for children, seniors and non-ACC students. All ACC students are admitted free with a valid ID.
- The winner of the match will advance to the semifinals of the tournament which will be held on Nov. 2 at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. The championship match is set for Nov. 4 at 1 p.m., also in Cary.
- It is the first time that Wake Forest has hosted an ACC tournament game since 2001 when Spry Stadium was the venue for the entire tournament.

Series History
- Wake Forest and Duke will be meeting for the fifth time in the past two seasons. The Demon Deacons trail the all-time series with Blue Devils 7-14-4. The two teams tied 1-1 in Durham in a regular season meeting on Oct. 14.
- The Demon Deacons defeated the Blue Devils 2-1 in the semifinals of the 2011 ACC Championship in Cary, N.C.
- Wake Forest is 3-1-1 all-time against Duke in ACC tournament games.

- Wake Forest finished in a tie for second place in the ACC, equalling its 2007 and 2000 performances as its best-ever ACC finish.
- The Demon Deacons have reached the ACC Championship final in each of the past two seasons. Wake Forest won the 2010 ACC Championship, beating Maryland in a shootout in the title match, before falling to Florida State in a shootout in last year's final.
