Josh Bush - Jets
The New York Jets traveled to San Francisco this past Sunday after coming off of a divisional win against the Miami Dolphins. Bush continued to have an impact on special teams for the Jets. However, the Jets' offense was unable to establish a running game or offensive presence and they fell to the 49ers 34-0, marking their biggest shut out home loss since 1989. Quarterback Mark Sanchez and the rest of the Jets' offense look to turn things around as they host the undefeated Houston Texans on Sunday.
Tyson Clabo - Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons took their undefeated record into Sunday's game against the visiting Carolina Panthers. The game seemed to be over as the Panthers' punter pinned the Falcons on their own 1-yard line with only a minute left in the game. Boston College alum Matt Ryan threw a 59-yard pass on the first play of the drive to help the Falcons reach field goal range. Falcon's kicker Matt Bryant hit the game-winning field goal with 10 seconds left to improve the Falcons to 4-0 on the year for the first time 2004. Clabo helped the Falcons' offense put up 426 yards for game. The Falcons take on the 2-2 Washington Redskins on Sunday as they look to remain undefeated.
Chris Givens - Rams
St. Louis Rams' quarterback Sam Bradford hit Givens streaking down the right sideline for a 59-yard completion on first down as time expired in the first quarter against Seattle. Givens was very active for the Rams' return game and was also targeted by Bradford throughout the game. The Rams went into halftime with a 13-7 lead and were able to hold on to seal the 19-13 victory over the Seahawks. The Rams improve to 2-2 on the season and look to take down the undefeated Arizona Cardinals at home on Sunday.
Joe Looney - 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers' rushing game exploded on Sunday against the New York Jets in a non-conference matchup. Four different players from the 49ers ran for a touchdown as they put up 34 unanswered points in the game to shut out the Jets. With the win the 49ers move to 3-1 on the season and now have the third-highest rushing yards per game in the NFL with 167 YPG. Looney, who has not seen any action yet, still sits second on the depth chart at the left guard position. The 49ers host the 2-2 Buffalo Bills on Sunday as they look to remain unbeaten at home.
Calvin Pace - Jets
Pace helped the New York Jets' defense Sunday against the visiting San Francisco 49ers. The 10-year veteran's presence was felt throughout the game as he had four total tackles, three of which were assisted. He also had a sack on 49ers' quarterback Alex Smith early in the second quarter to force the 49ers to kick a field goal in which they missed wide right. Pace also had his first forced fumble of the season. Despite the efforts of Pace and the rest of the defense the Jets fell to the 49ers 34-0. The Jets will look to be the first team to knock off the Houston Texans when they host them on Sunday.
Steve Vallos - Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles hosted their divisional rival the New York Giants on Sunday in a contest between two 2-1 teams. The Eagles got on the board first with a touchdown pass from quarterback Michael Vick and took a 7-3 lead into halftime. Eagles' running back LeSean McCoy helped lead his team as 121 of his 123 total rushing yards came in the second half. The Giants had a chance to win the game with 10 seconds left but the 54-yard field goal attempt fell short giving the Eagles the victory 19-17. Vallos played in his second straight game on the line for the Eagles. Philadelphia will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday as the Eagles look to improve to 4-1 on the season.
Kyle Wilber - Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys took center stage on Monday night as they hosted the Chicago Bears. The Cowboys' offense put up over 350 passing yards for the game but it was not enough to overcome the turnovers forced by the Bears' defense. Despite a late touchdown pass, the Cowboys fell to the Bears 34-18 and drop to 2-2 on the season. Wilber saw action in his second consecutive game on defense but did not record any statistics. The Cowboys have a bye week this week but will travel to take on the Baltimore Ravens the following Sunday.
